Do you have a question before or after using your cookware? Here are some quick answers:
- Oven use: all our items (frying pans, saucepans, lids…) can go in the oven up to 260 °C. Just avoid sudden changes from cold to hot (for example, taking a dish out of the fridge and putting it straight into the oven).
- Dishwasher use: our products are dishwasher-safe. To preserve their shine and reduce your environmental impact, we recommend using eco-labelled tablets or cleaning products.
- Cooking with stainless steel: Read our dedicated article (in French)

Your cookware may sometimes show marks after use. Don’t worry, most of them are natural and easy to remove:
- Bluish marks: these come from the starch in food (starchy foods, pasta, rice). A little white vinegar is enough to remove them.
- White marks or spots: these are often limescale. Here too, a quick soak in white vinegar solves the problem.
- Brown spots: linked to certain foods or slight overheating, they are harmless.
- White or blue spots: usually caused by salt. To avoid them, only add salt to boiling water and stir immediately.
- Rainbow marks: these are food deposits. They are harmless and can be removed with white vinegar or bicarbonate of soda diluted in hot water.
Important: never use chlorine-based products (such as bleach), which cause irreversible damage to stainless steel.
Tip: to extend the life of your cookware, don’t cook at full power. Two-thirds of your hob’s heat is enough for efficient cooking, thanks to the tri-ply technology of Pranacook stainless steel.
Other frequently asked questions:
- Food sticks to my stainless steel cookware: what should I do?
- How do I clean a burnt saucepan?
All the answers are available on our website (see our dedicated article (in French) and our FAQ).
Feel free to write to us if you can’t find the answer to your question!
